Drabble Challenge 6: Pirates

“I have to go,” he said halfheartedly, looking at her with warmth filled eyes.

“I will wait for you,” she nodded, replying to him with sheer determination.

His eyes twinkled but he looked at her doubtfully.

They both knew the answer.

His life was going to change now; their life was going to change.

He was joining a new crew, a new ship, new mates. If he'll see her again he might be lucky. They weren't coming back, sailing to the far east with an open mind.

But that's a life of a pirate; he had chosen it.
